Agile Development Method

Agile Development Methods employ a flexible, iterative approach to encourage project success, reduce costs and accelerate time to market.

“We have also found it easy to embrace Agile Methods as its guiding values – honesty, integrity, trust and courage - are strongly aligned with Fronde’s core values.”

All over the world, companies are investing billions of dollars in software projects that fail to meet business requirements or are not fully implemented. What is Agile Development Method?

What is Agile Development Method?

Agile Development Methods (ADM) are premised on the understanding that not all requirements can be fully specified at the start of a project and, therefore, flexibility must be built into the process. The capacity to respond quickly and effectively to change is achieved through short iterative cycles, minimised bureaucracy and direct communication.

The guiding principles of Agile Development Method include:

  • Self-organizing teams
  • Daily meetings
  • Focus on building relationships rather than persistent artefacts
  • Delivering - Agile projects are structured around “sprints” to ensure the team delivers value to the business — in the form of working software — every 30 days.

Fronde and Agile

Fronde’s extensive experience with Agile implementation demonstrates that ADM, employed in conjunction with Agile Project Management (APM), delivers significantly higher overall success rates for software development projects.

A global survey found that 81 per cent of respondents found Agile projects successful, as opposed to 29 per cent of non-Agile projects, Respondents also noted accelerated time to market, increased productivity and reduced costs as key benefits from an Agile based project.
